The final project for my Women, Gender and Sexuality Seminar is a podcast episode discussing Irish immigrant women, their work and lives, and how they were perceived in Upper Canada between 1830-1860. The "Settler Experience" isn't a homogeneous experience, nor is it the same across European cultures. Many of the social issues breeding in Europe, and in this case Britain/Ireland/Scotland/Wales, were often imported into places of settlement.
